Inquiries If you are wishing to send your resume details to our database for future career opportunities, please ensure that you identify in the subject line the service sector that you want to pursue employment in, i.e., Heavy Equipment, Labourers, Shapers, Administration, etc. Most positions entail driving and labouring components, ground excavation, underground utility works, including sanitary and storm sewer, excavation rehabilitation, jack hammering, etc. The successful applicants must have a valid Class 5 or Class 3 BC Driver's Licence with no more than 6 demerits. Applicants must have at least one year of related driving experience and three to six months of related experience. The ability to understand oral and/or written instructions, perform maintenance and keep a daily driving log is required. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in a related field (mechanical, plumbing, or an equivalent utility/construction field). Work might include heavy manual labour involving
the use of hand or power tools (e.g. picks, shovels, heavy bars, jackhammers,
etc.). Applicants must be able to perform physically demanding work in
all types of working/weather conditions. Heavy Equipment Operators Description: One year of related driving experience
is required. The ability to understand oral and written instructions,
perform routine machine maintenance and keep a daily machine log is required.
Knowledge of operation of heavy equipment is an asset. Successful applicants
must provide proof of qualifications. Skills with rock wall development
also an asset. Applicants must be able to perform
physically demanding work and have the ability at times to work under
adverse and somewhat difficult working conditions. Heavy Duty Mechanics Description: Minor repair and maintenance of CAT equipment, dual and tri-axle trucks, and lighter duty trucks. Work may also involve repair and maintenance of smaller site implements and tools. Candidate will be responsible for assessing larger repair and maintenance work and will work closely with relevant certified repair shops to obtain accurate quotations for work performed. Successful candidate will maintain records of all equipment service work, will report any potential mechanical problems visible (or audible), and troubleshoot, repair, etc. as required. Job Type: Seasonal (Possible Full-time) Drivers Description: Must have valid Class 1 Drivers License
and at least 5 years experience driving tri-axle vehicle with tridem pup. Labourers Description: General earthworks preparation for pipe laying, road building, parking lot construction and ground work for buildings. Valid drivers’ license and knowledge of basic first aid are assets. Job Type: Seasonal Shapers Description: Minimum of 5 years experience in the shaping, finishing and /or altering and re-modelling of golf course bunkers and other course play areas.
